SCR-Components Gen1- Air-Assisted

In the dosing system of the first generation a pump transfers AdBlue® to the dosing unit. There depending of temperature and pressure the AdBlue® is dosed by an injection valve into a tube in which it is transported by an accelerated air stream as an aerosol to the injection nozzle in the exhaust gas.

The system is abt for contolled concepts, above all for vehicles with compressed air equipment.

What is SCR?

SCR is the abbreviation for "selective catalytic reduction" and describes the process where a gaseous or liquid reductant (most commonly ammonia or urea) is added to the flue gas stream and is absorbed onto a catalyst. The reductant reacts with NOx in the fuel gas to form H2O and N2.
