Today it is developed to highest perfection by VW and get the name "Direktschaltgetriebe" (DSG). It combines the advantages of manual transmissions with these of automatic transmissions. The direct connection from the engine to the drive wheels safes fuel and the sportive driver likes its spontaneity. The smooth transition of gear shift without jerk and torque interruption accomplish highest customer wishes.
