4/3 Proportional Directional Control Valve
In the most cases 4/3 proportional directional control valves are used to control camphasing systems
The function, design, electric connection and measurements can be designed to meet customer specific requirements.

With the integrated check valve, it is possible to increase the adjustment speed significant. With the check valve, the engine operating conditions where the system can be used can be expanded in the direction of lower speeds and higher oil temperatures (hot idle running).
In order to prevent transport of contamination particles or chips from the processing of the cylinder heads into the oil control valve or into the camshaft phasing actuator, filters are used on the proportional valve.
These fine filters can be fitted at the inlet and/or the control outlet ports of the proportional valve.
