Breaking New Ground: Hilite’s Next Chapter Begins in Changshu

This week, we celebrated a truly memorable milestone — the groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of our Changshu Plant. This new project marks a significant step forward as we scale to meet the rapidly growing demand for NEV solutions in the Chinese market.

Since 2011, Hilite has proudly operated in Changshu, driving innovation in automotive powertrains, thermal management, and the hydrogen sector. In 2024, our local sales reached an impressive 1.2 billion RMB, highlighting our strong local presence and the dedication of our local team.

Now, we’re taking a bold step forward. With a 550 million RMB investment, our new site — located right next to our existing Plant II — will span 37,300 square meters.  We are accelerating the integration of our digital factory system to realize the benefits of real-time data and control systems.  Designed as a smart factory, it will further enhance our capabilities in thermal management and hydrogen product development, supporting the evolving needs of the mobility industry.  

During the ceremony, Our Global CEO James Shen reflected on our localization journey and the strategic importance of Changshu Plant within our global operations. Over the past decade, the site has become a key hub for technology advancement and market-driven innovation.

This expansion is not just about growth in capacity — it reflects our long-term commitment to China and aligns with Hilite’s 2030 Strategy to advance in both automotive and hydrogen sectors, while exploring opportunities beyond automotive.
